2015 FMQC January Pillow

Quilt Shop Gal is providing us in the new year another Free Motion Quilt Challenge each month.

  January Challenge

Pillow for my Granddaughter when she sleeps over

This is my January Challenge, a free motion quilted heart.  I made a little pillow for my granddaughter to have when she sleeps over.  I used a pencil to draw one heart shape in the middle of the rectangle, then freehanded all the stitching.    With a Blizzard happening outside for a couple days, if power remains on, I may be able to make some very cute pillowcases.

Thanks for the challenge Quilt Shop Gal.

    1. Oh thank you Bea for that encouragement. It is a little scary doing it without lines, as you never know what it will look like until you finish :) I try lines, but find they are hard to follow.

    1. Thank you Jeanne. I will have to make some pretty pillowcases now, as she may not want to cover up the heart :)

    1. Thank you Martha ~ I hope she will think it is fun. I may have to make a new pillow now for her brother as his pillow I made when he was little is just plain with fun pillowcases :)

    1. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement Fiona :) I so enjoy these free motion quilting challenges. Power has remained on in the Blizzard/ Nor Easter, so able to do some sewing in between shoveling and baking :)
